To the Ones Who Tried to Tame the Wild: A Thank You

By: Yàñgyèl Reign

They called me rebellious.

A little too loud.

A little too much.

Too many questions.

Too many opinions.

But guess what?

You still showed up.

While I rolled my eyes, broke your rules, and challenged your every word

You kept teaching

You kept believing

You saw the fire in me not as destruction, but as potential

You didn’t ask me to bow

You asked me to rise

You taught me that rebellion doesn’t mean chaos

It means courage

It means questioning the world until it makes sense

It means learning in my own loud way

So here’s to the teachers who didn’t try to break me

but helped me forge myself

Who didn’t punish the spark

but dared me to light up the sky with it

Thank you for your patience

For your side glances when I was about to say something wild

and for letting me say it anyway

Thank you for not giving up

Even when I seemed like a storm

Because without you

this wild voice wouldn’t know how to roar with purpose
